Back to Basics

100% Cashmere sweater (gift), Seven For All Mankind black sknnies, Jessica Simpson pumps, Michael Kors watch and bangles.

Sometimes, you just have to keep it simple.  I love piling on the accessories and trying fun trends, but I went back to basics with this outfit, including neutral colors.  I wish I knew where this top was from, it's amazingly soft and comfortable, but not too bulky.  My black skinnies have already been used more than I thought... these have become my go-to pants, $50 from Century 21, one of my finer bargain deals.

If this rain holds up, there will be more indoor pictures this week, or I'll be forced to break out my Hunter Rain Boots... actually, that's not a bad idea.

Polish Yourself This Holiday Season

Spring and summer have usually been the time for me to experiment with crazy nail polish colors... I started wearing Essie's Turquoise and Caicos this spring and my grandma actually looked at me and said, "You know you're wearing GREEN nail polish?"

During the winter months, I usually play it safe with extremely dark colors (browns, purples, blues and straight-up black).  But with THIS many gorgeous nail colors this season... I've sworn to be more expressive this year.

What colors are you interested in wearing this Holiday season?

Black & Gold

Fur jacket via Dillard's, Urban Outfitters tee, Seven For All Mankind black skinnies, Glittered Heels from boutique in San Diego, Michael Kors watch, Forever 21 necklace and gold bangles.  Nail Polish: Wicked by Essie.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!  My 4-day weekend felt amazing, but went by way too fast!  My mom had picked up this cropped black fur jacket from Dillard's for me back in the spring (and also got me one in beige, thanks Mom!) and I couldn't wait to bring it out!  I accessorized the rest of my outfit with plenty of GOLD (my fave) and very, very high heels!

The cheetah print on my nails is a sticker decal from Sally Hansen... I love making my nails little pieces of art!

Stay turned for more posts coming to you from Hoboken and NYC this week!

Black Friday

Ali & Kris blouse via Marshalls, Seven For All Mankind jeggings, H&M peacoat, BCBG wedges, Forever 21 feather earrings, Michael Kors watch and bag, Alex and Ani bangles, Tom Ford 'Raquel' sunglasses.

What a perfect weather day we had here in CT... it feels like early fall, 65 degrees at the end of November! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family and am enjoying the 4-day weekend!  I cannot believe we're already at another Holiday season, but I'm excited to decorate the condo and put up our tree!  West Hartford Center was buzzing today with Holiday shoppers!  Let the shopping madness begin!

Fur & Sequins

Kenar fur vest via TJ Maxx, James Perse tee, H&M skirt, Express tights, Steve Madden booties, Watch c/o Guess Watches, Michael Kors bucket bangles, Forever 21 earrings. Nail Polish: Wicked by Essie.

If this outfit doesn't scream GLAM, then I don't know what does.  I wore this for a night out on the town with my boyfriend and our friends.  I'm loving the fur vest trend right now and have always loved anything sequined... perfect for the Holidays!  These Steve Madden booties were the first pair of 'booties' I ever bought... 4 years ago!  I love making what's old new again!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family.  Look for more outfit posts this weekend!

Orange Cords

Splendid top, Forever 21 corduroy pants, H&M scarf, Matisse boots, Watch c/o Guess Watches, H&M rings, Nail Polish: Wicked by Essie.

These corduroy pants have to be one of the best items I bought so far this season.  Extremely comfy, on trend, and only $20 from Forever 21!  I love the burnt orange color, perfect timing for Thanksgiving week!  A big THANK YOU to Guess Watches for sending me this gorgeous tortoise link watch, another perfect fall staple that will get plenty of use!

Aztec Knit

American Rag sweater, James Perse top, Seven For All Mankind jeans, Nine West boots, Necklace (gift), David Yurman & Tiffany's rings.

A huge trend this fall is Aztec prints and I really love the print on this sweater.  It's very neutral and a great way to wear a trend without going overboard.

On another note, I have been wearing a TON of glitter nail polish lately.  If you wear it, you know how painful it is to take it off.  Here is a great tutorial I found on how to take it off (without spending an hour picking or attempting to rub it off).  Believe me, this is genius!

Preppy

Forever 21 sweater, H&M button up, Seven For All Mankind jeggings, Carlos Santana booties, H&M bomber jacket, Charming Charlie necklace and earrings, Michael Kors watch, David Yurman & Tiffany's rings.

I dressed up this plain sweater I bought from Forever 21 by layering and adding a touch of glitz with the necklace.  This bomber jacket is one of my favorite items in my wardrobe!  I've had it for years and surprisingly, it goes with almost everything I own in the spring and fall months!  The off-white color makes it more softer and feminine than a black leather jacket.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Happy Saturday!
